Beschreibung
Of rectangular shape with rectangular eyelet and raised rim on both sides. On one side inscribed with six Tangut characters meaning ""sleep behind the palace door and await orders"".
The first two characters in the context of the paizi are taken to refer to the bed chambers of the imperial palace. Therefore, this type of paizi is assumed to have been carried by an imperial guard. Two examples of this type are recorded, one made of bronze with the inscription repeated on both sides, and one made of silver with a personal name on the back.
